Personal Branding and Professional Networking

The Office of Career Services and Mentorship hosted the Fourth Years Career Day under the theme “Personal Branding and Professional Networking: Leveraging LinkedIn, Social Media, and Networking Events to Build a Career.” The event aimed to equip final-year students with essential skills for navigating the job market.

While opening the event, Dr. Joyce Mghoi, the Director of Career Services, emphasized the importance of personal branding and networking in career growth. The session brought together industry experts, alumni, and students from various academic years.

Key speakers included Ms. Stella Makiya, Training Manager at Pioneer Assurance, who highlighted potential career opportunities for exploration. Additionally, Mr. John Maina Mwangi, CEO and Founder of John Digital Solutions Ltd., provided insights on leveraging LinkedIn, social media, and networking events for career advancement.

The Chuka University Alumni Association was also represented at the event, where members discussed the role of alumni in career development and mentorship opportunities available for students.

The event served as a crucial platform for students to interact with professionals, gain industry insights, and prepare for life after graduation.
