HELB Officials Conduct Two-Day Audit Visit

Officials from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) have commenced a two-day audit exercise at the University starting today. The visit aims to assess and verify financial processes related to student loan remittances, disbursements, and the consolidation of supporting documents between the two institutions.

The audit is part of HELB’s routine oversight efforts to ensure compliance, transparency, and efficient coordination with higher education institutions across the country. During this exercise, HELB representatives will engage with relevant university departments to review financial records, reconcile data, and strengthen institutional linkages.

Chuka University remains committed to upholding accountability and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders in the higher education sector. The University views this audit as a valuable opportunity to enhance service delivery to students and support national efforts in sustainable education financing.

The exercise is expected to conclude tomorrow, with key insights set to inform future engagements between HELB and the University.
