Representatives from Akili Group and Chuka University held a collaborative dialogue to deliberate on prospective avenues for institutional partnership. The Akili Group delegation was led by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Haron Wachira. Discussions centered on possible areas of partnership, including practical field training, capacity building, joint research initiatives, engagement in the carbon market, and the design of targeted training programs for students, staff, and local communities. The proposed collaboration would be anchored within the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Resource Development to ensure academic relevance, practical impact, and alignment with the University’s sustainability goals. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei expressed optimism about the potential of such collaborations to enhance experiential learning and generate community-driven solutions to environmental challenges. Mr. Wachira lauded the University’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, noting the alignment with Akili Group’s mission to advance green growth and knowledge transfer.
