The Chuka University Alumni Association (CUAA) Executive Board, accompanied by three members, paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei, on August 13, 2025. The visit aimed to brief the Vice-Chancellor on the Association’s progress, recent activities, and ongoing plans to strengthen alumni engagement and support for the university community.
During the meeting, CUAA presented a Postgraduate Bursary cheque worth Ksh. 230,000 to support 20 postgraduate students following a successful vetting process conducted by CUAA for the 2025 applicants. The award will assist three PhD students, each receiving Ksh. 20,000, and 17 Master’s students, each awarded Ksh. 10,000.
Prof. Mutembei applauded the initiative, describing it as a commendable act of giving back to the University. He encouraged CUAA to undertake more resource mobilization efforts to support both students and the wider university community. He further affirmed the University’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Alumni Association to advance academic excellence and institutional growth.
