A delegation from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, led by the Chair of Department (COD), Dr. Josephat Machoka, visited Chuka Technical and Vocational College (Chuka TVC) on 10th September 2025 to explore potential collaboration in the use of mechanical engineering equipment to enhance practical training for students.
This initiative aims to optimize available resources and promote shared, hands-on learning experiences for students in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. As the Department continues to develop new curricula in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, the partnership is expected to yield mutual benefits by enriching the practical learning environment and strengthening inter-institutional ties.
The Department has already established Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions such as Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) to support academic exchange and practical training. The engagement with Chuka TVC reflects a continued commitment to expanding such collaborations in support of quality technical education.
