A delegation from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) paid a courtesy call on the Chuka University Management to monitor and evaluate the institution’s compliance with SRC policies and guidelines.
The visiting team, led by Commissioners Ms. Wangui Muchiri, Ms. Jane Njage, and Dr. Jacob Mbijjiwe, held discussions with senior University officials on matters relating to remuneration structures, benefits, and human resource practices. The visit aimed at ensuring that public universities align their compensation frameworks with national standards as set out by the Commission. During the meeting, the University Management, while welcoming the delegation, reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to upholding SRC directives, promoting accountability, and maintaining transparent and equitable human resource systems. The team also commended the University for its proactive approach in adhering to remuneration and staffing guidelines.
Speaking during the courtesy call, the Commissioners emphasized the importance of institutional compliance in promoting fairness, sustainability, and efficiency in public service. They encouraged continued collaboration between SRC and the University in strengthening best practices in staff management and compensation.
