Chuka Hosts Inaugural Young Entrepreneurs’ Business Summit

A major milestone in youth innovation and enterprise development was achieved as the University hosted the inaugural Young Entrepreneurs’ Business Summit, a high-level forum designed to promote knowledge exchange, strategic dialogue, and entrepreneurial growth among young people.

The summit brought together young innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, and development partners for a dynamic engagement on strengthening the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem. The event aligns with the University’s mission to empower learners with practical skills, foster creativity, and cultivate entrepreneurial thinking.
A key highlight of the summit was the onboarding of the first cohort of young entrepreneurs into a comprehensive capacity-building program. The selected participants will benefit from structured training sessions designed to strengthen their foundational business skills and enhance their readiness for real-world enterprise development.

They will also take part in tailored masterclasses facilitated by industry experts who will provide insights into advanced entrepreneurial strategies, innovation trends, and market dynamics. In addition, the program includes mentorship and individualized coaching aimed at guiding participants through the practical challenges of building and scaling their ventures.

To further support their growth, the cohort will gain access to funding opportunities targeted at both start-ups and expanding businesses. These interventions collectively aim to address persistent challenges faced by emerging entrepreneurs, including limited business knowledge, restricted access to capital, and insufficient market exposure.
