The Faculty of Science and Technology, held a postgraduate training workshop aimed at strengthening research capacity and enhancing academic excellence among postgraduate students.
The participants were taken through a series of comprehensive sessions, including Navigating the Research Journey, From Proposal to Final Defense; Effective Supervision-Roles and Responsibilities and Building a Productive Relationship; Research Ethics and Academic Writing in the Era of AI; Publishing Your Research – Where to Publish and Why It Matters; and Tools for Research Efficiency and Digital Skills. The programme also featured a panel discussion and interactive forum, as well as an open session that provided an opportunity for participants to raise and address unresolved research issues.
The training emphasized the importance of academic integrity, effective collaboration between supervisors and students, strategic publishing, and the responsible use of digital tools in research. It underscored the faculty’s commitment to fostering a supportive research environment and equipping postgraduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully complete their studies and contribute meaningfully to their respective fields.
