The Chuka University Alumni Association (CUAA) has donated KES 250,000 to support needy students at the University, in a move aimed at easing financial and food insecurity among learners. The donation comprised KES 150,000 allocated as bursaries and KES 100,000 worth of food supplies. The funds and supplies are expected to directly benefit vulnerable students struggling to meet tuition and basic living expenses.

The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to give back to the university community and ensure that financially challenged students can continue with their studies without disruption. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei, welcomed the gesture, noting that such support plays a crucial role in enhancing student welfare and academic success. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, stating that the assistance would significantly reduce their financial burden and improve their well-being.
