Postgraduates Sharpen Research Skills at Colloquium

The forum brought together postgraduate students from various disciplines to engage with facilitators on key areas affecting graduate research and scholarship. Discussions focused on academic writing and publications, statistics, research presentations, quality assurance, integrity and the importance of timeliness during the course of study.

Speaking during the session, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei emphasized the need for students to uphold academic honesty, maintain high research standards and publish quality scholarly work that contributes to knowledge and societal development.

The colloquium also provided students with practical guidance on handling research challenges, preparing quality presentations and meeting postgraduate academic requirements within the stipulated timelines.

The Board further highlighted the future direction of the postgraduate colloquium series, noting that the forums will continue to provide mentorship, capacity building and interdisciplinary engagement to strengthen postgraduate research and innovation.
