The meeting brought together leaders from government, academia and industry from Kenya and Germany to explore opportunities for cooperation in education, research and innovation aimed at advancing the bioeconomy. The Kenyan delegation included Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak, alongside representatives from Kenyan universities, research institutions and industry.
Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships that leverage renewable biological resources to address contemporary challenges in agriculture, industry and environmental sustainability. Key areas of interest included sustainable agricultural practices, development of biobased products and circular value chains that can contribute to food security, economic growth and green industrialization.
For Chuka University, the engagement provided an opportunity to deepen international research linkages, share expertise and explore collaborative initiatives that align with the University’s mission of generating knowledge for sustainable development.
