The Main Campus buzzed with excitement today as students and staff alike gathered to witness the transfer of power. In a ceremony filled with enthusiasm, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei, took the stage to hand over the reins of leadership to the newly elected student representatives. In his remarks, the VC extended congratulations to the incoming leaders, commended the student body for their peaceful and well-coordinated elections, expressed gratitude to the previous leaders for their effective leadership, and emphasized the core values that will guide the student leadership stating, “Unity is our strength, and as student leaders, your role is to foster a sense of togetherness within our diverse community. Listen to every voice, for each perspective adds value to our collective journey. Know your roles and responsibilities, embrace consultative leadership, and guide your fellow students towards a common goal.” With Evans Muchanga steering the team as the chairman, the newly elected leaders, filled with a sense of responsibility, took their oath of office, pledging to uphold the principles of unity, inclusivity, and effective leadership.
