Key areas of potential collaboration included internships and attachments for students, joint seminars and webinars, and cooperative efforts in grant proposal writing and research. The two institutions also considered working together on community outreach initiatives, joint conferences, and knowledge sharing. A significant emphasis was placed on disseminating information to farmers, to alleviate poverty and improve the livelihoods of small-scale farmers.
During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei expressed strong support for the prospective collaboration. He emphasized the importance of providing experiential learning opportunities aimed at developing local community solutions.
