Chuka Set to Welcome Nearly 7,000 New Students for 2025/2026 Academic Year

Chuka University is gearing up to receive an impressive cohort of nearly 7,000 first-year students, including 6,340 government-sponsored and hundreds of self-sponsored students, for the 2025/2026 academic year. This significant increase follows the recently released KUCCPS placement results, which reflect a remarkable growth from last year’s 5,241 placements, a rise of 1,099 students. The upward trend solidifies Chuka University’s position among Kenya’s most preferred higher education institutions. The Bachelor of Education (Arts) program recorded the highest jump, making it the most popular course this intake.  As part of its continued expansion and responsiveness to market trends, the University unveiled two new academic programmes:

  • Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT), which attracted 38 students, highlighting the increasing demand for hybrid skills in business and technology.
  • Bachelor of Animal Health and Production, which brought in 39 students, indicating strong interest in agricultural and veterinary sciences.

Chuka University celebrates this positive enrollment trajectory and remains committed to offering market-aligned academic programs that equip graduates with relevant skills for both local and global competitiveness.
