Chuka Takes a Seat at the Nuclear Energy Table

The University is making its presence felt on the global stage as it joins experts at the International Conference on Nuclear Energy (ICoNE), underway from March 24–26, 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. Flying the university’s flag are Prof. Eunice Githae, Director of Research and Extension, Prof. Joel Gichumbi, Coordinator of Linkages and Partnerships; and Dr. Anne Michura, who also sits on the board of the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency.

The high-powered conference has drawn top government officials from across Africa and around the world, alongside regulators, scientists, and industry players, all converging to explore how nuclear energy can power sustainable development and strengthen energy security.
By securing a spot in these critical conversations, Chuka University is not just observing from the sidelines it is actively plugging into global efforts shaping the future of energy.
