Chuka University and Sidian Bank today have formalized a comprehensive partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The collaborative agreement outlines key initiatives, including the establishment of a Business Current Account, and the introduction of a student smart card system. Sidian Bank will not only provide conventional banking services but also extend its support to encompass investment solutions, insurance premium financing, staff loans, and account relation management. Additionally, the partnership emphasizes active participation in various university programs, such as Career Week and Cultural Week, along with financial backing for initiatives like innovation weeks, research, seminars, and workshops. Sidian Bank’s commitment extends beyond academia, with provisions for attachments, and internships, for Chuka University students. Furthermore, the financial institution will contribute to students’ financial literacy by providing financial literacy workshops. On his part the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei committed to honor the private-public partnership that is mutually beneficial to both institutions.
