Chuka University Charts a Course: A Strategic Retreat for Success

The University Council convened at the Kenya Pipeline Company, Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas in Naivasha, for a strategic retreat from February 26 to 28, 2025. This meeting provided an essential opportunity for Council members to engage in high-level discussions on the university’s progress and future direction.
The retreat served as a critical platform for the Council to review the mid-term progress of the university’s Strategic Plan (2022-2027). During the sessions, members assessed achievements, identified areas for improvement, and explored ways to enhance institutional performance.
Discussions focused on strengthening governance, ensuring sustainable growth, and positioning the university as a leader in higher education. Additionally, the newly appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellors outlined their vision for their respective divisions, aligning their strategies with the university’s long-term goals.
