Chuka University Dominates the Sports Scene

In a thrilling showcase of athletic excellence, Chuka University’s sports teams have clinched multiple victories, securing their spots in the prestigious Nationals tournaments. Led by the unstoppable Basketball Women’s team, dubbed the Rockets, Chuka University reigned supreme at the KUSA Central tournament, earning their ticket to the Nationals at Masinde Muliro University. Their triumph marks the continuation of a remarkable four-year winning streak in the region, further highlighted by their qualification for not one, but three National events including the National Indoor Basketball 3-on-3 tournament at Pwani University, the National Women’s Basketball Championship at Egerton University, and the National Ball Games playoffs. Meanwhile, the university’s Hockey Men’s team, the Trojans, under the mentorship of Coach Tony Rono, has also punched their ticket to the Nationals after triumphing at the South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU), signalling a resurgence in their dominance on the field. The Tae-Kwando team also secured their spot at the Nationals after a resounding victory.
