Chuka University fraternity led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Erastus Njoka, launched a massive fumigation campaign to fight bedbugs in Kandungu Village in Maara Constituency, Tharaka Nithi County. Approximately a population of about 15,000 villagers were affected and had countless sleepless nights.
The university also donated food stuffs and blankets to the villages and did a community sensitization of hygiene and bed bugs.
The university pledges to continue to support the community and to be at the heart of all community initiatives to better the lives of the society.
