Chuka University Rotaract Club Launches Emergency Sanitary Towels Dispensers

The Rotaract Club of Chuka University has launched an emergency sanitary towels project to improve access to menstrual hygiene products for students. The initiative, officiated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei at the university medical Centre, involves installing sanitary pad dispensers in strategic locations to assist students during unexpected menstrual emergencies.

The institution aims to support this initiative, which is being implemented in partnership with Chuka University, the Rotary Club of Nithi, and other stakeholders. The project aligns with Rotary International’s focus on sanitation and hygiene. Three dispensers have already been installed in high-traffic areas, with plans to expand further through fundraising efforts.
