Deans Elected, Vision Renewed

Chuka University conducted its biennial Deans elections, with voting starting promptly in the morning and concluding at 1:25 p.m., immediately followed by the commencement of vote tallying. The elections were held across six faculties: Agriculture, Business Studies, Education and Resources Development, Environmental Studies and Resources Development, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Technology.
Prof. Paul Kamweru was elected unopposed as Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology(FAST), while Dr. Peter Kimanthi Mbaka secured the Faculty of Education and Resources Development seat as the sole candidate. Similarly, Prof. Isaac Micheni Nkaari ran unopposed and was declared the winner in the Faculty of Business Studies.
In the Faculty of Agriculture, two candidates contested the position, with Dr. Charles Mbogo emerging victorious. The Faculty of Environmental Studies and Resources Development saw three candidates vying for the seat, with Dr. Jafford Rithaa winning the election. Lastly, Prof. Kyalo Wa Ngula won the contested seat in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which also had three candidates.
