Deliberations on Bee-Rearing Partnerships

A delegation comprising of Dr. Kevin Obiero, Managing Director of Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI), Mr. Titus Mwirigi, Director of Kibari Bee Farm and Delta Fish Farm, and Mr. Dennis Koh, Manager of Fresh Catch Ltd paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei on October 4, 2023. The primary focus of their discussions revolved around the possibility of a partnership in bee rearing between the University and Kibari Bee Farm. Subsequently, a benchmarking trip to Kibari Bee Farm in Kisima, Meru County, was undertaken on October 7, 2023, as a follow-up to this meeting.
