Dons Convene for Competency-Based Education (CBC) Curriculum Review

Chuka University dons from faculties offering Competency-Based Education (CBC) Curriculum programmes convened on December 4, 2024, to participate in a CBC review session organized by the Faculty of Education and Resources Development (FERED). The review, spearheaded by Prof. Eric Mwenda, Dean FERED, was held in compliance with the Commission for University Education (CUE) requirements to ensure the continued delivery of CBC-aligned programmes.

The comprehensive review focused on identifying gaps, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and integrating emerging educational trends to enhance programme quality and relevance. The input from academic dons across various faculties underscored the interdisciplinary nature of CBC, reinforcing Chuka University’s dedication to holistic education.

Prof. Mwenda emphasized the importance of this exercise in positioning Chuka University as a leader in CBC programmes delivery.
