Dons Undergo Training on Writing Winning Externally Funded Proposals

Academic staff today underwent an extensive training workshop on writing winning externally funded proposals. Participants were taken through key topics such as drafting proposal budgets, work plans, timeliness, the significance of networking in mobilizing research funds, consortium formations, and considerations related to work packages, patents, and intellectual property rights. In his opening remarks the VC Prof. Henry Mutembei urged faculty members to prioritize research to enhance teaching as well as boost income and infrastructure for the university. The one-day seminar was facilitated by DVC Academic, Research, and Student Affairs (ARSA) Prof. Gilbert Nduru, Prof. Stephen Wambugu, Prof. Moses Muraya, Prof. Joseph Kavulya, and Prof. Joel Gichumbi.
