The Faculty of Agriculture held its first-ever symposium, titled Elimu ya Kilimo, Mafanikio ya Kesho, with a focus on youth engagement and innovation in sustainable agriculture. The event, themed “Youth Engagement through Nurturing for Innovation and Sustainable Agriculture,” featured various sections of the agricultural community showcasing their innovations and products.
The day’s activities included exhibitions, keynote addresses, and mentorship sessions aimed at inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders. While officially opening the event, Prof. Gilbert Nduru, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic, Research, and Student Affairs (ARSA), praised the exhibitors for their dedication and urged students to maximize their intellectual potential.
The symposium was attended by a diverse group, including local farmers, university staff, students, and even primary and high school students, creating a vibrant platform for learning and collaboration in the field of agriculture.
