The Faculty of Agriculture convened a formal ceremony to mark the leadership transition from the outgoing Dean, Prof. Grace Abucheli, to her successor, Dr. Charles Mbogo. In her farewell address, Prof. Abucheli expressed sincere gratitude for the privilege of serving the faculty and reflected on the significant accomplishments achieved during her tenure.
She also expressed strong confidence in Dr. Mbogo’s capability to guide the faculty towards sustained growth and academic excellence, providing valuable advice regarding the responsibilities and expectations inherent to the role. In response, Dr. Mbogo extended heartfelt thanks to Prof. Abucheli for her outstanding leadership and recognized the considerable progress made under her direction.
Determined to build upon this strong foundation, Dr. Mbogo outlined his plans to raise the faculty’s standards, foster innovation, and cultivate a more inclusive academic community. The ceremony saw a strong turnout of faculty members, all expressing a shared sense of optimism and excitement for the faculty’s future under his leadership.
