Financial Literacy Seminar

The Faculty of Environmental Studies and Resources Development hosted a financial literacy seminar aimed at equipping students with vital financial management skills. The event was organized to enhance students’ understanding of personal finance and investment strategies.

The exercise, which attracted students from various disciplines, was graced by financial experts from Stanbic Bank, who shared practical insights on budgeting, saving, and investing. The experts offered advice tailored to students, who are often at the beginning stages of their financial journeys.

While the seminar was primarily organized for students within the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Resources Development, the event also saw participation from students of the Faculty of Science and Technology and members of the Maisha Youth Club Chuka University Chapter.

The event aimed not only to educate students but also to foster financial independence and responsible money management, which are essential skills in today’s economy. By bringing in experts from a reputable financial institution like Stanbic Bank, the seminar provided students with valuable resources to better manage their finances both during their academic journey and after graduation.
