Fostering Global Collaboration in Sustainable Land Use and Natural Resources Management

Chuka University in collaboration with the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies at the University of Nairobi and Copenhagen University successfully hosted the post-assessment meeting for the Sustainable Land Use and Natural Resources Management course. The meeting held in Kibugu, Embu County, featured presentations on research findings involving 33 Master’s students representing 15 nationalities from Chuka University, Copenhagen University, and University of Nairobi. The Initiative, known as SLUSE-2024, commenced on February 29, 2024, and aimed to strengthen the interdisciplinary collaboration among universities and community stakeholders in areas of Agroforestry, Participatory Forest Management, Waste Management, E-voucher system, and Fish Farming
