The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs (ARSA) Division, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gilbert Nduru, held a consultative meeting with the 2025/2026 first-year class representatives to discuss key issues affecting student life and academics.

During the meeting, the discussions focused on the implementation of the academic almanac, service delivery, class participation, examination regulations and procedures, timetabling management, as well as student welfare and extra-curricular activities.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei, who was also in attendance, commended the representatives for taking up leadership roles early in their academic journey. He urged them to embrace responsibility, teamwork, and integrity as they serve their peers, noting that student leadership is a critical training ground for future national and global leadership.

The meeting provided a platform for first-year representatives to voice their concerns and suggestions, fostering dialogue that is expected to strengthen student participation in governance and improve the overall learning experience.
