The transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tourism, academia, and innovation is taking centre stage during a two-week training on AI and Strengthening FoTI Tourism Systems, hosted by the Faculty of Education and Resources Development in collaboration with Catalyse+ and facilitated by Prof. Alex Dhanjal.
The programme focuses on AI foundations, data privacy, responsible AI, and practical approaches to developing teaching artefacts using AI. Participants will also explore applications of AI in grant identification, academic research, source verification, and knowledge development.
Key sessions will focus on AI applications in tourism, hospitality, and conservation, including reservations, customer service, digital ticketing, and predictive analytics, as well as the development of the FoTI AI Hub and Data Innovation.
This initiative aims to strengthen participants’ capacity to apply AI responsibly in teaching, research, and tourism systems, while advancing innovation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
