Chuka University hosted the official launch of the Tharaka Nithi County Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP-IV) framework, covering the years 2023-2027. The event, which also included a town hall public participation forum, was presided over by Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Development, Hon. Professor Kithure Kindiki.
The primary focus of the gathering was to solicit input from both leaders and the general public on the MTP-IV framework. This plan is the final five-year strategy under the overarching Kenya Vision 2030, aimed at guiding the nation’s development.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Professor Henry Mutembei emphasized the significance of the event and the essential role of public participation in shaping national policies. He highlighted the crucial role that universities play within the MTP-IV framework and underscored Chuka University’s commitment to contributing to national development goals through research, innovation, and education.
