Student attachees were recently challenged to approach their industrial attachment with discipline, commitment, and initiative. In a professional development session facilitated by the Human Resources Department held in the month of June, Dr. Henry Nyamu emphasized that attachment is not merely an academic requirement but a vital bridge to the world of work. The session covered essential workplace skills such as punctuality, communication, teamwork, time management, and adaptability. Students were reminded of the importance of consistent attendance and personal responsibility, with the HR team stressing that reliability and professionalism are key traits valued by employers. Interns were encouraged to take advantage of learning opportunities by seeking mentorship, asking questions, and embracing challenges. The session also offered practical guidance on CV writing, interview preparation, grooming, and aligning with job market expectations equipping students to transition confidently from university to employment.
