Igembe Campus held a Student Integration programme for the May 2025 intake. The event aimed to support new students as they adapt to university life. It also introduced them to the University’s values, expectations, and support systems. Dr.John Kamoyo, the Director of Igembe Campus, officially opened the session. He welcomed the students and emphasized academic discipline, personal growth, and student-centered learning. He urged them to take full advantage of university resources and mentorship. Dr. Monicah Oundo, the Chairperson of the Department of Social Sciences, spoke on academic integrity, active participation, and curiosity. In her remarks, she encouraged students to be intentional about their academic journey. She noted that true growth requires effort, discipline, and openness to learning beyond the classroom. On the other hand, Mr. Francis Gacheru, the Assistant Dean of Students, and Mr. Peter Ndereba led a candid conversation with the students. They discussed mental health, student discipline, and available welfare services. They reaffirmed the Dean of Students Office’s open-door policy and its role in supporting students throughout their university experience. Igembe Campus offers TVET courses carefully tailored to meet evolving market demands, equipping students with practical skills and hands-on experience that enhance employability and drive local and national development.
