The event, graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Paul Kamweru, featured a high-impact virtual facilitation by Aditya Chaturvedi, Senior Researcher and Head of Operations for WorldQuant BRAIN across Kenya, Nigeria, India, and Indonesia. Beaming in via Zoom, Chaturvedi unpacked the art and science of building “alphas,” demystifying how students from any background can leverage data-driven strategies to compete on a global stage. His insights, paired with Tingoi’s real-world success story, turned the workshop into both a master class and a motivation hub.
Tingoi, a proud Chuka University Computer Science alumnus, brought the message home with a powerful reminder that global excellence can start locally. Reflecting on his journey from campus to the international arena in Singapore, where the 2025 championship drew over 80,000 participants worldwide, he applauded the students’ curiosity and enthusiasm. “This is how journeys begin,” he noted. “From Kenya to the global stage, the next Quant Champion could be you.”
