On July 31, 2024, representatives from the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) – Meru Sub-County, led by Chairperson Mwaniki Wachira, met with Chuka University Management, headed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei, to discuss key areas of mutual interest. The meeting focused on fostering a symbiotic relationship between Chuka University and secondary schools. Key initiatives discussed included the university’s active participation in secondary schools’ Career Days, integrating secondary schools into the university’s cultural week, offering refresher courses in ICT for secondary school staff, marketing Chuka University courses to students and teaching staff, and providing holiday-based courses tailored for the teaching fraternity in secondary schools. This collaboration aims to enhance educational opportunities and professional development for both students and teachers in the region.
