Microbiology and Biotechnology Students Gain Clinical Exposure

Fourth-year students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biotechnology recently undertook an academic visit to Chuka Level 5 Hospital, underscoring the programme’s strong emphasis on hands-on, industry-driven training.

During the visit, the students toured the Chest Clinic, Microbiology Laboratory, Biochemistry Laboratory, Hematology Department and the Renal Unit, gaining practical insight into diagnostic procedures, laboratory technologies and patient-centered care. The exposure bridged classroom theory with real-world clinical application, sharpening their technical competence and professional confidence.
