MoU Sealed Between Chuka University and NCIC

A signature on paper and a seed in the soil marked the beginning of a renewed commitment to national unity as Chuka University formally partnered with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU seeks to strengthen collaboration in promoting national cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and integration.

Under the partnership, the two institutions will work together on research, public forums, community outreach programs, and student engagement initiatives focused on diversity, conflict resolution, and responsible citizenship.

During the ceremony, a proposal was also put forward to establish a Centre for Peace and Cohesion at Chuka University. The proposed centre would serve as a hub for research, training, dialogue forums, and policy engagement on issues related to national unity, social integration, and sustainable peacebuilding.

The signing ceremony was followed by a symbolic tree planting exercise within the university grounds. The act represented growth, shared responsibility, and a long-term commitment to nurturing unity and harmony in society.
