Physical Science Department Holds Meeting to Streamline Functions

The Physical Science Department held a meeting on Monday, January 14, 2025, to discuss measures to improve its operational efficiency. The meeting, attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and key stakeholders, focused on streamlining departmental functions and fostering collaboration.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Ochieng’ Ombaka, the head of the physical science department. Prof. Ombaka emphasized the need to optimize processes to enhance productivity and meet institutional goals.

One of the primary discussions revolved around consolidating administrative tasks to reduce redundancy. Faculty members suggested digitizing routine processes such as grade submissions and resource allocations. Additionally, streamlining communication channels to address delays in task execution was also highlighted as a critical need.

The meeting also included a brainstorming session where attendees proposed ideas to improve workflow, resource sharing, and student engagement. A task force was formed to assess current procedures and recommend changes within two weeks.
