The 6th Engineering Partnership Convention

Chuka University proudly participated in the 6th Engineering Partnership Convention (EPC 2025), a major National event held at the Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi. The three-day convention, themed “Engineering a Digital World,” brought together key stakeholders from government, academia, and industry to explore innovations driving digital transformation.
The University was represented by Eng. Prof. Marcel Odhiambo, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Machoka, Chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Their participation reflected Chuka University’s strong commitment to advancing engineering education and contributing to national conversations on technology and innovation.
The event was officially opened by Eng. John Tanui, Principal Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy, who delivered a keynote address titled “The Digital Revolution: Improving Lives and Livelihoods in Africa.” PS Tanui highlighted Kenya’s global achievements, noting the country ranks 21st globally and 3rd in Africa in the Global Cybersecurity Index evidence of its growing influence in digital innovation.
Other notable attendees included Dr. Eng. Festus K. Ng’eno, Principal Secretary for Environment and Climate Change; Eng. Luka Kimeli from the State Department for Roads; and Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) officials led by Chairman Eng. Erastus Mwongera and CEO Eng. Margaret Ogai.
The primary goal of EPC 2025 was to foster partnerships and dialogue among policymakers, engineers, academicians, and industry leaders to strengthen engineering training, practice, and policy in Kenya.
Chuka University remains steadfast in promoting engineering excellence and actively participating in both national and international forums that shape the future of the profession.
