Tuskegee Veterinary Students Visit Chuka University for Experiential Learning

Four veterinary students from Tuskegee University, Alabama, USA—Ms. Aniya Daneed, Ms. Mary-Margaret Niala, Ms. Kristian Alexis, and Ms. Kamii’Ya La’Char—arrived at Chuka University for a week-long experiential learning program. Their visit, which runs from December 23 to 31, 2024, is part of a student exchange initiative under a 2023 memorandum of understanding between the two universities.

The collaboration, spearheaded by Dr. Munene Nderi from the Department of Animal Sciences and guided by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei, aims to enhance academic exchange and practical skills.

During their visit, the students will tour various livestock farms and engage with practicing veterinarians to gain insights into herd health management, disease control, and clinical case management in Kenya.
