Unlocking the Potential of Gen AI

To understand and address the challenges and opportunities posed by generative AI in higher education, the Faculty of Science and Technology organized a workshop on Unlocking the Potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Research. The event brought together Senate Members, and AI specialists to discuss the integration of generative AI tools in academic settings.

The workshop began with an overview of generative AI’s transformative potential in higher education. Discussions focused on its applications, such as personalized learning, automated content creation, and advanced research capabilities. Experts highlighted the frontiers of generative AI, showcasing its ability to revolutionize how educators and students interact with technology.

Another significant session addressed the ethical integration of generative AI. Participants explored ways to balance innovation with responsibility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining academic integrity and ensuring equitable access to AI-powered tools.
