The strategic meeting, held at the KAGRC headquarters, brought together top university officials and technical trainers to align objectives, review logistical arrangements, and reinforce collaborative commitments for the specialized academic programme.
Prof. Mutembei emphasized the University’s dedication to delivering an impactful Summer School experience that bridges academic theory and agricultural innovation. “This engagement marks a key milestone in our commitment to research excellence and capacity building in genetic resources,” he stated.
In his remarks, Prof. Mutembei extended heartfelt appreciation to the Managing Director of KAGRC, Dr. Misoi, for graciously hosting the delegation. “We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Misoi and the entire KAGRC team for the warm hospitality and unwavering support in co-organizing this important academic initiative,” he said.
The 2nd Summer School is expected to attract postgraduate students, researchers, and industry experts for intensive training on genetic technologies and agricultural resilience, a critical step toward strengthening food security and environmental sustainability.
Preparations are now in their final stages, with the programme set to commence later this month.
