The newly elected 2025/2026 CUSA leaders were officially sworn in today in a ceremony overseen by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei. The event marked a smooth and peaceful transition of leadership, reinforcing the university’s commitment to democratic governance and student representation. Ben Geoffrey “Jakatoo” was sworn in as the new CUSA chairperson, leading a team dedicated to serving students with equity, inclusivity, and dedication. The newly elected leaders pledged to advocate for student welfare and work collaboratively with the administration to enhance the university experience. The handover ceremony was attended by university officials, outgoing student leaders, and students. Prof. Mutembei commended both the incoming and outgoing teams for their commitment to student leadership and urged the new leaders to uphold integrity, accountability, and inclusivity in their service. With this transition, the 2025/2026 CUSA leadership embarks on its mission to foster a more inclusive and dynamic student government, ensuring that every student’s voice is heard and represented effectively.
