The NCRC representatives delivered a subsequent public lecture attended by Faculty members, including the Dean and lecturers, alongside the entire student body. During the lecture, key contemporary issues such as the rising cases of femicide, abductions, and the recent declaration of Section 226 on attempted suicide as unconstitutional were addressed. C.S. Wanjiku Mwai also encouraged students to explore careers in corporate governance, highlighting the role of Certified Secretaries in the field.
As part of the initiative, NCRC announced mentorship programs and attachment opportunities for Chuka University law students, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to practical legal education and research. The M.O.U marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration between academia and crime research institutions, offering students valuable exposure and career-building opportunities.
