Security Department Celebrates 5th Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast

The spirit of gratitude and teamwork took centre stage as the Security Department held its 5th Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast, marking two and a half years since the department’s establishment under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim Mulinge. The fellowship brought together members for reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to service.

Ministering during the session, Pastor James Kinuthia of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya urged members to serve wholeheartedly, drawing from Ephesians 6:7. His message emphasized dedication to duty, integrity, teamwork, and gratitude in service.

The programme also featured a financial literacy session by Solutions Sacco led by Regional Manager Madam Caroline and Chuka Branch Manager Mr. Koome, who encouraged members to embrace savings as a pathway to financial stability. Updates were also shared on the department’s Emergency Fund Kit, launched in January 2026 to support members facing urgent financial needs.

Blending praise and worship, speeches, and fellowship, the event highlighted not only the department’s role in safeguarding the university community, but also its growing culture of unity, welfare, and mutual support.
