The spirit of public service, sustainability, and citizen engagement took center stage at the Africa Public Service Day 2026 celebrations held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi. The event under the theme, “Every Drop, Every Citizen, Every Future” brought together government officials, public institutions, development partners, and citizens to reflect on the role of public service in advancing sustainable development and improving the quality of life for all.

Chuka University was represented by Prof. Joel Gichumbe and Ms. Janet Nyaga, who joined public service stakeholders from across the continent in commemorating the day. Discussions focused on enhancing service delivery, promoting responsible resource management, and fostering citizen participation in governance.
