Apply for an IUCEA Scholarship at Chuka University

The EAC Scholarship Programme, implemented by the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) with support from the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW, aims to develop future leaders who will contribute to East African regional integration and sustainable development.
Chuka University has been selected as a participating host university under Phase II of the Programme and is approved to host scholarship beneficiaries in the following Master’s programmes:
a) Master of Science in Applied Mathematics
b) Master of Science in Biochemistry
c) Master of Science in Botany – Microbiology and Biotechnology
d) Master of Science in Botany – Plant Pathology

Application Period

Applications are open from 20th August 2026 and close on 10th September 2026 at 5:00 p.m. East African Time (EAT). Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply for admission to the programme of their choice at Chuka University and indicate their intention to apply for the EAC Scholarship Programme.

How to Apply

Applications for admission to the eligible Master’s programmes at Chuka University can be submitted via:

Applicants must also complete the separate EAC Scholarship Programme application and submit the required supporting documents in accordance with the IUCEA application guidelines, as outlined in the Detailed Call for Applications attached below. The scholarship application is separate from the application for admission to the University.
