On February 13, 2023, the Chuka University Main Campus Pavilion Grounds saw a jubilant Homecoming Ceremony for the Chuka University Scorpions and Starlets after their win at the Chapa Dimba Eastern Region Playoffs. The event, attended by students, faculty, and supporters, honoured not only the football teams but also recognized the achievements of all sports teams at the university. Amidst cheers and applause, athletes were lauded for their hard work and dedication, embodying values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
During his speech, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei stated, “Today, we stand united in celebration of our athletes’ remarkable achievements on the field. Their dedication, resilience, and spirit of teamwork have not only brought glory to our university but have also inspired us all. As we honour the Scorpions and Starlets, let us also recognize the hard work and commitment of every athlete who represents Chuka University. Together, they embody the values of excellence and sportsmanship that define our institution.
