The Deans’ Elections that took place at the Main Campus, on September 29, 2023, organized by the office of the registrar academics, were characterized by a palpable sense of anticipation and engagement among the faculty and staff. With a competitive pool of candidates vying for the various faculties dean’s positions, the election turnout was remarkable as both candidates and voters demonstrated their dedication to shaping the future of our institution. As the results of the hotly contested election were announced, the newly elected Deans now embark on their respective journeys to lead their faculties in advancing the University’s mission and values. During his speech during the elections the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Mutembei urged all the candidates and voters to embrace the results and collaborate harmoniously to propel the institution to greater heights.
As we usher in a new era of leadership, we welcome the incoming deans, Dr. Eric Mwenda, who was unopposed and retained his seat as the Dean Faculty of Education, Prof. Paul Kamweru, Incoming Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Dr. Grace Abucheli, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Christopher Kiboro, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Prof. Isaac Nkaari, Faculty of Business Studies.
