Chuka University participated in the Commission for University Education (CUE) Stakeholder Engagement Forum on the Draft Universities (General) Regulations, 2026, held at Meru University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
The forum brought together Vice-Chancellors, university administrators, academic staff, and other stakeholders to discuss the proposed regulations and provide recommendations aimed at enhancing governance, accountability, and quality in university education. Chuka University was represented by Dr. Samuel Chege, the Registrar Academic Affairs; Prof. Columba Muriungi the, Director of Quality Assurance; and Dr. Anthony Odek the UASU Chairman.
The engagement underscored the importance of collaboration among universities, regulators, and policymakers in strengthening Kenya’s higher education sector. Chuka remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote quality, innovation, accountability, and excellence in university education.
